Ever since I can remember I have loved to create! My journey has taken me from sewing to a degree in fine art photography to my own commercial graphic screen printing company and for the past 21 years, to Art Quilts. Art quilting has become my passion and profession.
With studio art quilting, I have found my voice. I am now combining all of the creative art skills I have built over the years. I use photography for inspiration, color selection, composition and images, blending in my graphic skills from screen printing and knowledge of fabrics and sewing to help create my art quilts.
Each quilt I make is an expression of my artistic voice. My dominant style is a pictorial combination of photographic images and layered fabrics that embody a concept or scene that I feel deeply about.
I show my work thru various art quilt shows, Artist Association of Nantucket and Nantucket Looms. I belong to Quilters Connection Quilt Guild, Rising Star Quilt Guild and Studio Art Quilt Association. I also work on commission.
