Judith Dickerman-Nelson earned her B.A. in English from UMass Lowell and her MFA in writing from Emerson College. She is the author of the memoir Believe in Me: A Teen Mom’s Story published by Jefferson Park Press and the poetry book Spirits Dancing Into Light published by Loom Press. Her writing has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. She taught writing for years, worked at the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association in Lowell MA for fifteen years, and now works in the mental health field. She has two grown sons and lives in Vermont with her husband.
